Each bead is made from recycled paper which is cut into long strips and individually rolled. Three coats of varnish are applied to protect the beads that are designed into beautiful necklaces. The colors you see are the colors that are in the paper. The process of creating a piece of beaded jewelry from hand-rolling the bead to assembly, takes about a week.All products are one-of-a-kind, handcrafted by widows and abandoned wives who live in remote villages in Africa.
