Fresh Clean Water for Hundreds
Morningstar Week 1,2,3 139In June of 2013, a natural flowing spring was dug out, piped, and concreted in Nakivumbi, Uganda. Hundreds of families now have access to clean water, with an easy way to fill their jugs from the continuous stream of water. The overflow runs down hill to water the nearby gardens and rice swamps. Thank you to the American team who labored alongside several local villagers to finish this life giving project.

New Toilets and Bathing Stalls finished in May 2013

Nawansega May 22 2013 036Think about going to school or to church and not having a proper bathroom to use. Project Lydia built toilets and bath house that services the large nearby church and the school that we are in the process of rehabbing. Not a glamorous project, but a very necessary one…especially for girls and women!

Electricity is in and School Rehab started in 2013
704823_570654172959981_1317147013_oIn March 2013, electricity was brought into the school that we have started rehabbing. Our goal is to begin a secondary school for girls. Most girls in rural areas never make it to secondary school because of forced marriage, sexual exploitation, teenage pregnancy, lack of money, or just because she happens to be a female. We are wanting to make a difference in young girls lives, before she becomes another statistic. Will you help?
